"We are ready to restart the dialogue mechanisms with the U.S. side at any level, in any area and at any time. All issues can be put on the table for discussion," Wang said.
Carrion said he agreed with top Chinese official Yang Jiechi who recently underscored the importance of maintaining respectful and productive bilateral China-U.S. ties.

And though in the face of Washington's provocation Beijing has always kept maximum restraint, that does not mean that the country will bow to bullying. Indeed, China has every right to make a legitimate and firm response to defend its national interests.
Noting that China-U.S. relations are now faced with a new international and domestic environment, Yang said that to safeguard and stabilize China-U.S. ties against this backdrop, the right attitude is to respect history, keep pace with the times and build on past achievements, and not to distort and deny history, or turn back the wheel of history.
"It is neither necessary nor possible for the two sides to change each other. Instead, we should respect the choice independently made by the people of the other side," he said.
He noted that at a recent UNHRC session, 70 countries supported China's formulation of the law and condemned interference in China's internal affairs by using Hong Kong as a cover.
Zhang said that India unilaterally changed the status quo of Kashmir through constitutional amendments in August 2019, stoking tensions in the region. A year later, there is no fundamental improvement but a risk of further escalation in the situation of Kashmir, according to the spokesperson.
"China-U.S. cooperation has never been a case of one party giving favor to the other, or one party taking advantage of the other. Both countries have benefited much from this cooperation," he stressed.
